INSIGHT

Wetwheels is an outstanding organisation and

a long lasting client of ours, we have completed many smaller

projects for the creator Geoff Holt, but this project  was

much larger and required some complex logistics.

Geoff contacted me and said,

" I think you going to be excited about this call "

He wasn't wrong, he explained this project would take a few months,

plus travelling over England to film the

Wetwheels fleet.

The idea, to make and extended plea film to gain funding and grow

this fantastic army of Catamarans  mission to supply unbelievable

experiences to people with mental and physical

disabilities.

After the call, I got my logistical/ producing  thinking cap on.

PRODUCTION

THE FILMING & EDITING PROCESS

Filming this project really was a mission, and on

this particular project I produced, planned and filmed it

alone, me on all cameras and drone.

First stop Cornwall to meet Nick and his carer.

I captured Nick having a great time on the Cat along

with a few others.

Then Scarborough, where I filmed a mix of interviews

and challenged children enjoying the open seas.

Next stop Portsmouth, to film the man him self Geoff.

Other shots located on the Isle of Wight.

TIME TO EDIT

This edit was actually pretty emotional to make, after the intense efforts putting

this puzzle together, running across the

all corners of England

making sure I captured the shots, once calm and relaxed in the editing room, doubled with the music, seeing the happiness Geoff created it definitely tugged on the heart stings.

I went for a calm feeling matching

the stories and feelings of the great

people involved.

Mixing drone shots, scenery, and

the voices really made a moving Plea

Geoff Holt MBE

The creator of the Wetwheels foundation

Geoff, a remarkable human who surffed a life changing accident, one

that would see him in a Wheelchair for the rest of his life, This accident would prove to be the birth of Geoffs vision, creating a fleet of vessels

that can spread smiles into people who other wise wouldn't have the chance to feel the exhilarating ride of a power boat, and not only this, but you can be the skipper !

Such a pleasure working with Geoff, he wasn't with me on my missions

up and down the country, but he always checked in and was excited to hear about the progression.

That's a wrap

So after lots of careful planning, meeting all the logistical targets as you will see in the film, one

point we nailed a formation Catamaran ride out, lots of adrenaline for that part I can tell you !

but truly, getting to locations, timing weather, meetings....

ok that's enough on logistics, but it

really was challenging.

So now it was time, after lots of careful editing, making sure everything ran seamlessly, I sent to Geoff..

Holding my breath, it's been months in the making, it's important to all these people......

Phone rings

"Nathaniel, you have made us a masterpiece"

Time for a beer was the first thought that came

into my head, PHEW

We love it when a plan comes together !!
